Track-Spec S14a 200SX (2015 Update)

Nissan S14

Having not seen Ryan and his S14a for a couple years, we decided to catch up. I grabbed my camera, and we met at a suitably ugly industrial estate in Milton Keynes.

Primarily a track car, the S14a features an extensive spec-list, but still works great on the road. The bright white paint combined with a low, wide stance makes for a vehicle with significant road presence.

The Belgium GP was about to start, and rain clouds were rolling in, but before calling it a day we went for a quick blast. Ryan’s car is seriously punchy; the 255 section 595 RSRs combined with the Kaaz 2-way provide incredible traction out of corners. Boost comes in strong and hard, keeping you planted to the back of your seat all the way up to redline.

Ryan’s car has reminded me why, when done correctly, S13s and S14s make devastatingly quick track cars. These days there are certainly cheaper and easier options available, but little can rival the sheer assault on the senses that older Japanese cars provide when driven in anger.
